The Langtang region trek is one of the most attractive destinations in Nepal. Langtang Helambu Region Trekking lies north of Kathmandu and bestows a multitude of trekking destinations that are all accessible without flights. Langtang Valley is also known as a narrow valley that lays just the southern part of the Tibet border.


It is sandwiched between the ranges of mountains that vary from tall one in the north and a rather lower range of snowy peaks to the south. Langtang Lirung (7246 m) dominates the valley to the north, Gang Chhenpo (6388 m) and Naya Khang-Ri(5846 m) lies to the south and Dorje Lakpa (6966 m) protects the east end of the valley. Thousands of Hindu pilgrims visit holy Gosaikunda Lakes (4300 m) during a full moon festival in August.

What to expect ?

Best beautiful views of snow-capped Mountains (Langtang Lirung (7234 m), Yala peak, Dorje Lakpa (6966 m) and Kang Chenpo), landscape, and natural sceneries throughout the trail. Visit the Holy Gosaikunda Lake believed to have formed by Lord Shiva (Hindu god of destruction) himself. Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu Airport - (1360m.) 

On your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative will pick you from the airport and transfer to the hotel. 

Overnight Kathmandu.

 

Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing

If you wish to comprehend Nepal’s historical and cultural values, sightseeing in Kathmandu valley is crucial. Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, is a popular destination for tourists. This city offers a marvelous combination of mix religion of Hinduism, Buddhism, and some imported culture. Kathmandu carries the cultural and religious legacy that can be found at temples, monuments, and artifacts. Patan and Bhaktapur are neighbor cities that reflects a similar legacy. In the half-day tour, you will be guided to Pashupatinath temple and Boudhanath stupa. Pashupatinath is a Hindu Shrine where people worship Lord Shiva whereas Boudhanath is the biggest stupa of Nepal. And for the rest of the day, we will prepare for the trek. You can buy your missing equipment for your trek.

 Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1460m/4790 ft), 7-8 hrs, (Lodging + B-L-D),

After breakfast, we will head towards our trekking entry point i.e Syabrubesi following the Trishuli River which continuously falls down from the Gosaikunda. Today we can enjoy the real countryside near the capital city of Nepal.

Day 04: Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel (2470m/8103ft), 5-6 hrs, (Lodging + B-L-D),

After breakfast, the trail will gradually ascend from the bank of the Bhote Koshi River. We will walk through the traversing trail through beautiful villages and breathtaking landscape. This day on Langtang brings us some more wonderful views and nice fresh mountain air to breath. The trial moves through the subtropical forest covered by oak, fir oak, Rhododendron, maple trees and wildlife like Langur, Monkeys, red panda and Himalayan black bears, e.t.c can be seen.

Day 05: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3430m/11253ft), 5-6 hrs, (Lodging + B-L-D),

After breakfast, we will continue to ascend from the Langtang village. As we reach the green meadow Godatabele, we can enjoy the tantalizing views of snow-capped peaks appearing in front of our nose. The trail crosses a stream and climbs past many water-driven mills and prayer wheels to the large settlement of Langtang. Before reaching to new Langtang settlement, we will cross the part that was devastated by an Earthquake in 2015.

Day 06: Trek from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa (3870m/12696ft), 3-4 hrs, (Lodging + B-L-D),

After breakfast, we will take a pleasant walk towards the next destination (Kyanjin Gompa). The trial passes gradually in an impressive manner through the Mundu Village. After crossing different small streams, we can see the monasteries of Kyanjin Gompa and beautiful Icefall Flowing from Langtang, Kimshung, and Lirung. We can explore idyllic panoramic views of Langtang Lirung (7246m), Gen Jempol, Kyanjin RI (4750m.), Tsergo RI (5000m.), Ganja La (5160m.), Langshisha- Ri (6427m.), Dorje Lhakpa (6430m.), Naya Kang (5844m.), Yala peak (5500m).

Day 07: Acclimatize, rest and exploration day around Kyanjin Gompa (3870m/12696ft), (Lodging + B-L-D),

With the morning breakfast in the lap of the mountain, we will explore this Kyanjin Gompa for the 7th day. We can visit the monastery and the cheese factor over there. Also, we can hike for the Kyanjin Ri (4,250) or climb to Tserko Ri (5,150m) which is the highest point of the trek, or we will also have the option to do side by side trip to Langshisha Kharka. There are several alternatives side trips.

Day 08: Trek back to Lama Hotel (2470m/8103ft), from Kyanjin Gompa, 5-6 hrs, (Lodging + B-L-D),

After breakfast, we will observe the beautiful Snow-capped Mountains. We will follow the same trial to back the following Langtang village and Ghoda Tabela. Then its all the way descend to Lama Hotel.

Day 09: Trek from Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi (1460m/4790 ft), 5-6 hrs, (Lodging + B-L-D),

After breakfast, we will hike back to Syabrubesi. It is easy downhill walk enjoying the lush green vegetation and mesmerizing view of Mountains and green hills. The trial will follow Bamboo Village and suspension overpass Syabrubesi before we reach Syabrubesi.

Day 10: Drive from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu (1350m/4429), 7-8 hrs, (Lodging + B-L).

After breakfast, we will head for Kathmandu memorizing the good memories in Langtang Region.

Day 11: Departure
